NuAfrica is a 100% volunteer organization. Private donors cover operational costs, so you don’t have to. Unless you specify otherwise, all Monetary donations are spent in the field. In-kind donations, such as school supplies, are also distributed in Africa; from time to time, however, in-kind overflows are locally distributed as part of NuAfrica’s community outreach program.
What we want you to know: Without safe water, all other forms of help, including education are not important. It all begins with water.
On an annual journey to raise awareness of the water problem, in July, 2011, 26 Americans made another life-changing trip to Mali, Africa. We stayed in Badinko Village, experiencing poverty and witnessing the water problem first-hand. Soon, NuAfrica will dig a solar-powered well in Badinko’s school, so children and villagers drink clean water and maintain health.
A second 2011 trip success: NuAfrica and Madame Toure, Mali’s First Lady, signed a pact. We will join hands to assist Mali’s impoverished, 54% of whom have no access to potable water.
